A classic country kitchen with a woodburning fireplace and iron fireback has been updated for the gourmet user. Baskets of staples hang from the beams above a bank of luxury appliances set in custom cabinetry with a local Carrara marble worktop.Cooking enthusiasts will love the 6-burner Fratelli Onofri chef's stove with convection oven, a full set of stainless-steel cookware and fine knives.

BATHROOMS
The property features three bathrooms, two in the main house and one in the guest house. On the first floor of the main residence, bespoke fittings and Venetian plaster walls frame reclaimed marble floors and state-of-the-art fixtures from manufacturers such as Hans Grohe and Brizo. A made-to-measure Ofuro, a Japanese soaking tub, complements the large shower. A full bathroom with shower, sink and toilet are in the dressing room which is off the upstairs master bedroom.

BEDROOMS
Each of bedrooms feature European-sized queen beds (larger than their American counterparts). All beds feature Magniflex memory-foam mattresses, which are hypoallergenic, non-toxic and supremely comfortable. We use only 100% cotton bedding and down duvets. The master suite features a custom armoire with antique chapel doors, exposed original fresco fragment and antique furnishings. The airy upstairs guest room has windows on three sides, displays exposed stonework and also offers a convertible daybed.
Antiques, like this pearwood cassettone, are found throughout the houses.
FURNISHINGS
Furnishings in the house include antique black walnut and chestnut furniture from the local and surrounding regions mixed with simple modern pieces. A library includes guidebooks, histories of the area and cookbooks for your culinary explorations.
Hammocks, chaise longes and yoga mats promote outdoor relaxation
OUTSIDE
The houses sit on an acre of landscaped property on three terraced levels. A barbecue grill, chaise longes and cushions, two hammocks, and sporting equipment will occupy kids, grownups, loungers and sporty types alike.
CONNECTIVITY
Wireless internet, a laptop docking station and a color printer/scanner/fax/copier are available for renters' use.
CHILDREN
Our home offers the perfect getaway for families with babies and small children. Available for visitors are a portacrib, Stokke high chair, children's dishes and utensils, and lots of toys and books--and, of course, the legendarily baby- and child-friendly Tuscan culture.
Il Granaio allows independence from visitors in the main house
GRANAIO (GUEST HOUSE)
A terrace covered by a wisteria arbor connects the main house to the granaio. This guest house is a complete living unit ideal for a couple. It features a queen bedroom and enclosed sun porch where you'll find a day kitchen with sink, refrigerator and microwave. The guest house's modern bathroom includes a shower, sink and toilet. A covered veranda extends from the granaio, sheltering a teak dining table for traditional Italian al fresco dining-- and is where we eat most meals in the spring, summer and fall.
